Overview

Dr. Tiffany G. Harris is an epidemiologist and public health leader with 20 years of experience in research, surveillance, program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, data dissemination, and management in a range of the infectious and non-infectious diseases. Currently, she is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Epidemiology at Columbia University where she has co-led the Epidemiology of Infectious Diseases course since 2016. 

Previously, Dr. Harris was the Director of Strategic Information (SI) at ICAP at Columbia University from 2015-2021 where she oversaw the assessment and implementation of epidemiology, monitoring and evaluation, surveillance, and health information system activities, as well as the development of new SI-related metrics, tools, proposals, guidelines, protocols, and systems. Dr. Harris was also the principal investigator for four CDC-funded projects supporting SI, epidemiology, and global health security in Africa and served as a project lead or co-lead for several others. Prior to joining ICAP, she worked for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for nine years where she was the Assistant Commissioner overseeing the Bureau of Epidemiology Services from 2011-2015 and oversaw surveillance for the Bureau of Tuberculosis Control from 2007-2011. Dr. Harris holds Master of Science and Doctorate degrees in epidemiology from the University of Washington.
