Educational Seminar Series

Distinguished speakers series

This long-standing series features leading cancer researchers from the world-over. Invited speakers spend a day on campus (in person or virtually), where they meet with faculty and with predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows. These visits include an informal lunch-time meeting, at which guest speakers discuss career development with trainees.

Interdisciplinary research series

This series pairs, from among our members, a basic scientist and clinical investigator whose collaborative translational efforts drive new clinical trials.

Research-in-progress series

This series showcases two recently appointed cancer center members or associate members. These seminars serve to inform a wide community of researchers and interested listeners about the work of our new members.

Professional enrichment series

This series provides career development information and activities to our trainees and other investigators. Speakers are drawn from offices throughout the medical center and beyond, who engage their audience in a didactic experience.

Resources for researchers series

This series showcases resources across the HICCC and Columbia that are available to support research in their work spanning wet and dry lab resources.
