Dr. Brenner graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and performed postgraduate training at Columbia University Medical Center, completing residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Dr. Brenner’s focus is on providing excellent care to patients with pulmonary disease in the office and hospital setting. He also directs the HHT Center and cares for patients with dysfunction of the diaphragm.

Dr. Brenner's focus is on providing excellent care to patients with pulmonary disease in the office and hospital setting. He is trained in advanced procedures to diagnose malignant and non-malignant chest conditions and to treat specific complications of advanced thoracic cancers. His research interest is in the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) as a treatment for severe respiratory failure and the new application of this technology to patients with COPD.
